“Perth Local-XLR8 Actor to Star in Australian Sci-Fi “Occupation”

SparkeFilms has teamed up with great Australian talent Dan Ewing (Home and Away, Beast No More, Red Billabong) and International superstar Temuera Morrison (MOANNA, Star Wars: Episode II & III, Once Were Warriors) who head the cast of “Occupation,” a sci-fi action film, to shoot in Australia this month on the Gold Coast and in northern New South Wales.

"Occupation" sees a group of small-town residents forced to band together to survive after a devastating ground invasion.  The residents fight to stay a step ahead of their attackers as they hatch plans to strike back.

Opening this fantastic opportunity for 12-year-old Perth local Rhylan Bush, is Luke Sparke, the director of the film who in 2016 delivered “Red Billabong”,

"I am a big supporter of developing local talent here in Australia and believe that we, as part of the filming community should do everything we can to assist Australian growth where ever we can, and Rhylan certainly has that spark for greatness and will go very far in this industry" says Luke.

Luke Sparke has the backing of the people of Perth who are ecstatic to see that he has recognised yet another superstar and future Hollywood A-Lister in young Rhylan.

Perth’s newest star Rhylan Bush is set to shoot later this month for his supporting role alongside Temuera Morrison (MOANNA, Star Wars: Episode II & III, Once Were Warriors) and Dan Ewing (Home and Away, Beast No More, Red Billabong).

The rest of the cast is loaded with the Stella talent of; Stephany Jacobsen (Battlestar Galactica), AFI award-winner Jacqueline McKenzie (The 4400, Romper Stomper), Rhiannon Fish (The 100), and Bruce Spence (Mad Max 2), plus Charles Terrier (Neighbours), Felix Williamson (The Great Gatsby, Underbelly), Charles Mesure (Desperate Housewives), Zachary Garred (General Hospital), Izzy Stevens (Puberty Blues), and Trystan Go (The Family Law).
